BeeJot — Privacy Policy

The short version

BeeJot is built to work offline with no account. Your beekeeping records never leave your device. We run no servers, we use no analytics, and we cannot see your data. The only third party involved is RevenueCat, which processes in-app purchases anonymously.

Data that stays on your device

Everything you enter in BeeJot — apiaries, hives, inspections, varroa mite-wash results, treatments, harvests, photos, and notes — is stored only in the app's local database on your iPhone or iPad. It is not uploaded anywhere. There is no account, no sign-in, and no cloud sync in this version. Deleting the app deletes this data. We recommend an iPhone backup if your records matter to you.

Inspection reminders use Apple's local notifications, scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. You can decline notification permission and the app still shows the next inspection date.

Data processed for purchases

If you buy BeeJot Pro (an auto-renewable subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase), the payment itself is handled by Apple through your App Store account. We never see your name, email address, or payment details.

To unlock the purchase and to restore it on a reinstall, the app uses RevenueCat, a purchase-processing service. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated anonymous app-user identifier and your purchase receipt — nothing that identifies you personally. This data is used solely for app functionality (validating and restoring your purchase), is not linked to your identity, and is not used for tracking or advertising.

What we do not do

No analytics SDKs, no advertising, no tracking, no location collection, no contacts access, no selling or sharing of data. The app makes no network requests on the logging path at all.

Children

BeeJot is not directed at children and collects no personal data from anyone, including children. The app contains no third-party advertising.

Refunds

Purchases are made through Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of BeeJot changes how data is handled (for example, optional iCloud sync), this policy will be updated before that version ships, with a new "Last updated" date above.
